Vistadome Train that primarily travel routes including hills, vegetation, rivers, and forests.

On the track between Visakhapatnam and Araku in Andhra Pradesh in 2017. The first Vistadome coach on an Indian train was introduced. India is said to now have 33 Vistadome coaches as of August 2022. When Madhya Pradesh will introduce its first Vistadome coach on the Bhopal-Jabalpur line.

Along with big windows, transparent roofs, self-operating sliding doors, and glass backs, the coaches also include 360-degree rotating, plush pushback seats, WiFi, GPS, and an infotainment system. The Vistadome coaches’ routes primarily follow scenic roads that include hills, vegetation, rivers, and forested areas.

New Jalpaiguri- Alipurduar

On the North Bengal line between New Jalpaiguri and Alipurduar. The Vistadome coaches transport the passengers through the Dooars’ rivers, tea gardens, and lovely green forests. The train stops in several places, including Chalsa, Siliguri, and Hasimara, before reaching its final destination, Alipurduar.

Bangalore- Mangalore & Bangalore-Karwar

For passengers to enjoy the picturesque Western Ghats. The Indian Railways installed a special Vistadome coach to the Mangaluru-Bengaluru train in 2021.

Tumkur, Tiptur, Arsikere Junction, Hassan, Sakleshpur, Subrahmanya Roa, Kabakaputtur, Bantawala, Mangalore Junction, Surathkal, Udupi, Kundapura, Byndoor, Bhatkal, Honnavar, and Kumta are among the 16 stations the railway stops at along its journey.

Mumbai-Madgaon (Goa)

Vistadome coaches have been introduced to the Dadar-Madgaon Janshatabdi Express. In which you may board from Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, allowing passengers to take in the picturesque views of the Western Ghats and Konkan coast. Around 5.30 am, the train departs from the station, and it arrives in Madgaon, Central Goa, at 4.30 pm.

Mumbai- Pune 

The Central Railway (CR) zone of Indian Railways saw the launch of the Pune-Mumbai Pragati Express with Vistadome carriages in July 2022. Travelers can enjoy the Western Ghats’ breathtaking natural beauty while also seeing Khandala, Lonavala, the Songir Hills, Matheran Hill, Ulhas River, and Ulhas Valley along the way.

Shimla

More than 1,000 people can fit in each of the Vistadome coaches on the Him Darshan Express between Kalka and Shimla. Tourists can view the winter snowfall through these glass-enclosed buses as well.
