The actor took to social media to praise the ‘genius’ American black comedy-drama anthology. She also tagged Zoya Akhtar, saying that they, too, could do something similar.
The Laal Singh Chadha actor took to her Instagram story to share her thoughts on the highly popular show. “White Lotus Season 2 – One word – Genius,” she wrote. She then followed up with, “We can do this too… @zoieakhtar Zoya Akhtar “Are you paying attention?”

The filmmaker responded quickly to Kareena’s suggestion and posted her response. “Can’t wait @kareenakapoorkhan,” Zoya wrote on her Instagram story. “I hear you loud and clear,” she added. The interaction has piqued fans’ interest in a future collaboration between the two talented women.
What Zoya planned about cast?
Readers may recall that Zoya had planned to cast Kareena and her cousin Ranbir Kapoor as siblings Ayesha and Kabir in her critically acclaimed film Dil Dhadakne Do. However, due to scheduling conflicts, Ranbir was unable to accept the role, and Ranveer Singh was brought in. Kareena, who took on the project solely because of Ranbir, also dropped out, with Priyanka Chopra taking over the role later.
On the professional front, Kareena recently finished filming Hansal Mehta’s untitled project. Her debut as a producer will also be in this thriller. Sujoy Ghosh’s film, an adaptation of the novel The Devotion Of Suspect X, will also take the actor into the OTT space. She also has Rhea Kapoor’s next film, which will star Tabu and Kriti Sanon and will be about the airline industry.
