Women cricket: Top 5 fastest women to Score 2,000

Beth Mooney has broken another record. Women cricket is the form of the team sport of cricket when played by women only. It is played at the professional level in multiple countries around the world and 108 national teams participate internationally.
But who are the other women’s cricketers with 2000 runs?
1. Beth Mooney
Beth Mooney, who is currently ranked first in the ICC T20I rankings, has surpassed Stafanie Taylor to become the fastest player to reach 2000 T20I runs in 67 innings. She has evolved into one of the game’s most consistent batters. Capable of playing any position in the order and also serving as a wicketkeeper, making her an asset to any team she plays for.
2. Mithali Raj
Mithali Raj is another crusader, having scored 2,000 runs in 70 innings. Any adjective would be inadequate to describe her contributions. In her illustrious international career spanning more than two decades, Mithali Raj has achieved numerous milestones. The game’s leading run-scorer, as well as the only Indian captain – male or female – to lead the team to two 50-over World Cup finals.

3. Charlotte Edwards
Charlotte Edwards, England’s captain, has also scored 2000 runs in 73 innings. Charlotte Edwards established herself as one of the most influential personalities of all time during her 20-year international career, 10 of which she was England captain. Edwards, who debuted at the age of 16, was far from inexperienced when she began, smashing 12 centuries in 1997. Despite injuries and setbacks, she always tried to contribute and will be remembered for leaving a legacy.
4. Suzie Bates
Suzie Bates set a record by scoring 2000 runs in her 78th inning. An incredibly talented batting all-rounder who bats in the top order, she made her international debut against India in 2006 and has since broken records. One of the most noticeable aspects of Bates’ captaincy has been her inability to impact her batting. Bates, at 5-foot-8 and with an athletic body honed on the basketball court, takes to the attacking style more easily than others.
5. Smriti Mandhana
Next on the list is Smriti Mandhana, who has also scored 2000 runs in 84 innings. Batting legend Rahul Dravid gave the batter a practise bat, which she later used to smash a double tonne for her state in a one-day game, and that’s how she burst onto the scene. She became the first Indian woman to score a double tonne in one-day cricket with her 224 off 150 balls.
