1. Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga

One of  most significant holy sites to visit  is the Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga, a well-known Hindu temple devoted to Lord Shiva. The lingam, one of the most well-known Jyotirlingas in the world and a representation of Lord Shiva, is what makes the temple famous. Every year, the temple also plays host to a number of fervent and heartfelt religious festivals and celebrations. If you attend the Brahma Muhurat ceremony, don’t forget to participate in the special aarti that is performed.

2. Shree Harsiddhi Mata Shaktipith Temple

Between the Mahasaraswati and Mahalaxmi statues in the Harsiddhi Temple is a dark red Annapurna deity. The Mata Harsiddhi idol has a magical aura about it. According to legend, Vishnu released his chakra, causing her body to be divided into 51 pieces, while Lord Shiva was performing the tandava while carrying her burning body.. Visitors to  shrine hold the belief that the goddess’ elbow fell at Ujjain and  the  King Vikramaditya constructed this temple.

3. Shri Ram Ghat

Ram Ghat is a well-known landmark in the holy city of Ujjain. Ram Ghat, one of Ujjain’s most popular tourist attractions, is located near the Harsiddhi Temple. Due to the legend that Lord Ram bathed here with his wife Sita and brother Laxman, this ghat is among the holiest places in Ujjain. The ghat is one of four places where the auspicious Kumbh Mela is hosted every 12 years.

4. Kal Bhairav Temple

Kal Bhairav Mandir is connected to the tantra cult in Hinduism. This temple, which has a Shivalinga next to a statue of Nandi and beneath an old Banyan tree, is one of the best representations of ancient Hindu culture. According to legend, King Daksha, the goddess Parvati’s father, gave the bull to Shiva and Parvati as a wedding gift. 5. Shri Chintaman Ganesha Temple

The Paramaras ruled Malwa in the 11th and 12th centuries, and during that time they built the largest temple in Ujjain dedicated to Lord Ganesha. The elaborately carved stone pillars and white shrine of the building vividly display its traditional architectural style. The name “Chintaman” refers to god as an assurer who, in the eyes of his followers, can calm human minds..
