On Saturday, Netflix India released the teaser for the new web series Heeramandi, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Netflix published a quick clip on Instagram showcasing the major characters. With Heeramandi, Sanjay Leela Bhansali makes his web series debut.
Who are part of web series
The actors Manisha Koirala, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sharmin Segal, Richa Chadha, Sanjeeda Shaikh, and Sonakshi Sinha are first seen in the video. The performers are seated next to one another and are all wearing mustard-colored clothing. Sonakshi was the only one of them to stand, and she bowed to the camera while performing a salaam.
The tagline for the video was, “We can’t wait to be a part of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s new historical period or fantastical realm. Here is a look inside the lovely and fascinating world of #Heeramandi. Soon to be!” Someone responded to the video by writing, “Whoaa, stoked.” Another admirer remarked, “Such a wonderful cast.” I’m excited to watch this because it’s going to be (fire emojis).
Another video clip from Netflix featuring the characters wearing all-black attire was also shared.
Its post’s caption read, “The splendour of Sanjay Leela Bhansali was blended with their astounding talent and grace. Name us a more well-known team, and we’ll wait! Coming soon only on Netflix: #Heeramandi”
In a glittering region called Heeramandi during pre-independence India, the web series will investigate tales of courtesans and the hidden cultural realities. It is a television show about love, betrayal, succession, and politics in the kothas, and it will have the hallmark larger-than-life sets, complex characters, and lyrical compositions of director Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
“Heeramandi represents a significant turning point in my development as a director. This is an enormous, first-of-its-kind series that is inspired by the Lahore courtesans. I am anxious but delighted to create this series since it is ambitious, huge, and all-encompassing. I’m looking forward to working with Netflix and introducing Heeramandi to viewers around “Bhansali stated
