Secret Invasion should provide Marvel TV with the much-needed breath of fresh air. The show will be an adaptation of a well-known Marvel comic where the Skrull, a shape-shifting alien race, try to rule Earth covertly. While he will have a few allies to rely on, Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) is the only thing standing in the way of the radical Skrulls gaining control of the globe. Secret Invasion is clearly The Fury Show. Secret Invasion appears to be adopting the same grim tone that helped make Captain America: The Winter Soldier an MCU classic, and Marvel is finally giving one of its best actors some much-needed time in the spotlight.

On Wednesdays, new episodes of Secret Invasion will be available on Disney+. On June 21, 2023, the first episode of the season will air.

WOULD A SECRET INVASION SEASON 2 BE ANNOUNCED?
As of right now, Secret Invasion appears to be a one-shot deal. The new series will continue plot lines that were first presented in Captain Marvel in 2019. However, it is unknown whether this tale will be continued in upcoming MCU projects or a second season of Secret Invasion. Fury will reportedly make an appearance in The Marvels later this year, so Marvel completists might feel compelled to watch Secret Invasion.
