Rihanna opened up about dating ex-boyfriend and MLB player Matt Kemp.

After breaking up with her ex-boyfriend Chris Brown, Rihanna embarked on her first prominent engagement with Matt Kemp. In the late 2000s, an MLB player and the singer of “Umbrella” had a love relationship. Although the relationship was “never as serious as it looked,” the romance didn’t last long.

In a 2010 interview, Rihanna discussed her connection with Kemp and expressed her happiness and comfort in it. The Grammy Award winner also admitted that Kemp was the one who kept her calm despite her hectic personal and professional life. I lead such a crazy life, but at the end of the day, that’s simply my peace, she added. She continued by saying that she stayed healthy by talking to Kemp and her family. In the same interview, Rihanna talked about her tumultuous relationship with her ex, singer Chris Brown. Brown reportedly physically assaulted her.

Matt Kemp, an MLB player, and Rihanna’s relationship

RiRi started dating Matt Kemp, a professional baseball player, after she and Chris Brown split up. When the couple was seen together on New Year’s Eve in 2009 and again in Mexico in 2010, it gave rise to dating rumours. However, the couple split up by December 2010 because of the singer of “Don’t Stop The Music’s” demanding schedule.
