The year 2022 was a banner year for OTT platform, with major films and shows debuting on these platforms. They also created a number of original releases. While shows like Panchayat 2 received a lot of attention, there were a few other releases that deserved more attention. Examine it out!
1. Major | Netflix
Major is based on the life of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, who was killed in action during the Mumbai attacks in November 2008. The story of 26/11 dominates the second half of the film. The film is available on Netflix.
2. A Thursday | Hotstar
A Thursday, starring Yami Gautam, has been made available on OTT. It’s a thriller that takes us on a journey to discover why a schoolteacher (Yami Gautam) kidnaps her students, making it a good weekend watch.
3. Qala | Netflix
Qala is a Netflix original with possibly the best soundtrack of the year. It stars Tripti Dimri in the lead role and depicts the struggles of female artists in a world dominated by men.
4. Khakee: The Bihar Chapter | Netflix
Khakee: The Bihar Chapter, another Netflix original, is one of director Neeraj Pandey’s masterpieces. It’s a crime drama series about Sheikhpura IPS Amit Lodha and his efforts to bring the Ashok Mahto gang to justice.
5. Rocket Boys | SonyLiv
What’s not to like about SonyLiv’s Rocket Boys? The casting, the story, what’s not to like? It tells the story of Indian scientists Homi J Bhabha, Vikram Sarabhai, and APJ Abdul Kalam, and focuses on India’s first rocket launch. Please watch it if you haven’t already done so.
6. Kaun Pravin Tambe? | Hotstar
The man who refused to give up. The perfect sentence to describe Indian cricketer Pravin Tambe, who was selected by the Rajasthan Royals management for the IPL and Champions League T20 despite being 41 years old. Pravin Tambe, where are you? is his biopic, which is now available on Hotstar.

7. Mukhbir – The Story of A Spy | Zee5
Mukhbir – The Story of a Spy is a Zee5 original spy thriller series. It is a tribute to the country’s unsung heroes, and it is based on Maloy Krishna Dhar’s novel Mission to Pakistan: An Intelligence Agent in Pakistan.
