Aadi Mahotsav in Delhi — Here are details about the tribal festival PM Modi inaugurated.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the “Aadi Mahotsav” on February 16 at the Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium in New Delhi. One of the biggest national tribal festivals. The purpose of the Aadi Mahotsav is to honour national handicrafts.

One day until the biggest tribal festival in Delhi! Let’s celebrate tribal heritage, cuisine, crafts, and culture at the Aadi Mahotsav in New Delhi, February 16–27, 2023, at Major Dhyan Chand Stadium.

This is a part of a national campaign to promote tribal culture. The Mahotsav, an initiative of the Tribal Cooperation Marketing Development Federation Limited (TRIFED) under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, honours the spirit of tribal culture, crafts, cuisine, trade, and traditional art. The programme will use nearly 200 stalls to highlight the extensive and diverse cultural heritage of tribes from across country. There will be about 1,000 tribal artisans at the Mahotsav. In addition to the main draws like handicrafts, handloom (Types Of Indian Handloom Sarees You Should Have), ceramics, jewellery, etc… The Mahotsav will place a special emphasis on showcasing Shree Anna grown by tribal people because 2023 is the International Year of Millets.
