Ruturaj Gaikwad smashed these seven jaw-dropping sixes in a single over making everyone’s eyebrows raise. This figure included a six on a no-ball making it seven sixes in an over. It was the Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh second quarter-final match of the Vijay Hazare Trophy being played .

With this, Ruturaj Gaikwad became the first batter to have struck seven consecutive sixes in an over in the history of white-ball cricket. The Maharashtra opener finished his fiery knock unbeaten on 220 off 159 balls. His solid innings comprised of with 10 fours and 16 sixes. Ruturaj Gaikwad’s 43-run over also became the joint-most expensive over in the history of List A cricket. It was previously achieved in 2018 by Northern Districts’s Brett Hampton and Joe Carter in New Zealand’s domestic 50-over game .Only four players have achieved the feat of hitting six sixes in an over in international cricket. They are South Africa’s Herschelle Gibbs, India’s Yuvraj Singh, West Indies’ Kieron Pollard and USA’s Jaskaran Malhotra.
