Korean singer: Xiao and Hwanhee will probably join the Mnet’s survival show ‘Boys Planet’

Korean singer members of UP10TION Xiao and Hwanhee have joined Mnet’s survival show “Boys Planet,” according to reports on December 22. Prior to this, it was stated that Hui from PENTAGON would also be appearing on the programme.

Korean singer Xiao and Hwanhee from UP10TION are reportedly joining Boys Planet.

Reports state that Xiao and Hwanhee have already started filming Boys Planet. Xiao and Hwanhee, two of the group UP10TION’s youngest members who were born in 1998. Had their debut in 2015 and were active all year. After seven years since their debut, they have developed their abilities and gained acclaim in many other industries.

Members of UP10TION Kim Woo Suk and Lee Jin Hyuk previously participated in Mnet’s “ProduceX101”. Which broadened their focus to include singers and actresses. Fans are eagerly awaiting Xiao and Hwanhee’s performance.

Hui from PENTAGON will also work for Boys Planet

Hui, the frontman of PENTAGON, will also be a guest on Mnet’s survival show “Boys Planet,” as was previously announced. Hui began filming for his participation in the programme. Hui’s management company, CUBE Entertainment, responded that they were unable to confirm or deny that he would be appearing on the show.

Boys World

Boys Planet, the male version of Girls Planet 999, will debut in 2022. Mnet revealed during the 2021 Mnet Asian Music Awards on December 11, 2021. Mnet clarified that they will accept applications from potential participants between December 11, 2021, and February 11, 2022 in a later release.

On June 25, 2022, Mnet formally stated that they would air Boys Planet in the first half of 2023. Even though they had already begun accepting applications from prospective applicants, the production team decided to extend the application period. The global auditions are open from June 27 through August 21 and are accessible to any guy born before January 1, 2009, regardless of nationality, agency affiliation, or previous musical experience.

For the open recruitment that ended in August of last year, thousands of applicants from 84 different nations and regions submitted applications. 229 domestic and international management businesses also took part in the open recruitment. On February 2, 2023, at 8:00 PM KST, the first broadcast will take place.
