How does it feel to fall head over heels for someone new?
Since moving day is getting closer and my house is full of boxes, I must admit that I am anxious. But there’s no denying the thrill of starting over and having a full family. All I can say is that I have butterflies in my stomach.
When you first met Nikhil Patel, did you know he was the one for you?
I can’t say it was our first encounter, but I could tell he was a father, and that stood out a lot. I was particularly interested in that fatherly sensation because I can still stand by it. If you have the right heart as a parent, everything else will fall into place. That is something I evidently saw in Nick (Nikhil) and that’s the foremost reason I fell in love with a parent. Do you feel the jitters or there’s calmness around him?
There is a sense of calmness and maturity in this age that we are currently in. I’d never heard anyone say, “I’ve got your back,” and it’s a very big thing. I hear it way too often these days, despite the fact that I’m not at all used to it. Because I am so used to handling everything on my own, there is an automated independent mode of solving everything. I am not used at all to entering a state where the work is being done by someone else, allowing me to relax and enjoy a cup of tea. It’s a very new phase for me.
