Mark Zuckerberg has launched a new feature called Chat Lock Feature, which is being called WhatsApp Chat Lock Feature, in a Facebook post. The new locked chats in WhatsApp will make your conversation more private i.e. keep it safe.
Zuckerberg has written that this feature will keep your entire personal things safe through a password. It will keep all this information in a separate folder. When someone messages you and locks the chat, both the sender’s name and the message will be hidden.
Zuckerberg says that if you lock a chat, it can only be seen through a password or biometric. This feature will also remove the chat from the notification. That is, if you have locked the chat with someone, then even if someone else has a phone in his hand, he will not be able to see it. Also, no notification will be associated with this chat.
Zuckerberg says that this feature is beneficial for those who give their phone to other people for some reason or the other. Even the phone has to be shared with family members. In such a situation, their personal things will always remain private. Meta CEO said that it is not necessary that the phone’s lock code should be kept in this chat lock. It can be set up separately.
