Prashasti Singh shot to fame with her stint on Prime Video’s Comicstaan Season 1. Especially noted for her unique style and delivery, she also stood out because of her upbringing in a rural set-up. Prashasti’s style of comedy is entirely her own – making her one of the best Indian female stand-up comedians to watch out for
2. Aishwarya Mohanraj
Another contestant from Comicstaan Season 1, Aishwarya’s performance at the show wasn’t as good as one would expect, however, she made up for it by improving spectacularly by the end of the show. She continues to be a major player in the current stand-up scene, and one can really see how far she has come from her Comictaan days. She’s also especially popular on Instagram, where she has more than 500k followers.
3. Supriya Joshi
AIB may not be active anymore, but it gave a platform to many comedians who are still remembered for their AIB sketches. Supriya is one such comedian. Apart from AIB, she also appeared on Prime Video’s Comicstaan season 2. These days Supriya can be seen on Instagram flaunting her stunning make-up skills
4. Aditi Mittal
One of the earliest female comics in India, Aditi has been recognised for her work since as early as 2009. She’s been a part of the English comedy scene in India for over a decade and has performed in several clubs and humor festivals in India, UK, and the US.
5. Neeti Palta
Neeti too entered the comedy scene fairly early, when she left a lucrative position in one of India’s largest ad agencies to provide voice-over for the Indian version of Sesame Street, Galli Galli Sim Sim. then took another risk by putting herself out there as a stand-up comic in the male-dominated comedy scene in India. But it all paid off, and Neeti is one of the most successful female comics in India. She also appeared in the second season of Comicstaan as a judge.
6. Urooj Ashfaq
It is no mean feat to be able to insult people with a cute smile on your face. Urooj has, however, mastered that art. Appearing in Queens of Comedy as a contestant and the second season of Comicstaan as a host alongside Anish Mathew, Urooj has a charming personality on-stage even though much of her comedy is rather dark
7. Sejal Bhat
Another contestant from Comicstaan season 1, Sejal was probably one of the most popular contestants to have come out of the show. While her style might not be particularly unique, her observations are absolutely on-point and the delivery of her content is hilarious.
8. Sumukhi Suresh
Sumukhi Suresh began her career as an improv artist, later moving on to making YouTube videos on her own channel as well as in collaboration with other comedians like Naveen Richard. After some of her videos where she played a character called Behti Naak, got viral, she was approached by Prime Video who then cast her in her own Prime Video original, Pushpavalli. She also appeared as a host alongside Anish Mathew in Comicstaan Season 1, and appeared as a judge in Comicstaan season 2.

Anuradha Menon is especially noteworthy because not only is she a stand-up comedian, she’s also a VJ, with her character/alter ego Lola Kutty being a big hit with the fans. She has appeared in her own Prime Video special, Wonder Menon, as well as Vir Das’s series Jestination Unknown.
10. Kaneez Surka
Kicking off her career with Cyrus Broacha’s The Week That Wasn’t, Kaneez was born in South Africa to Indian parents. Her bad Hindi is an added layer to her comedy, even though at times unintentional.
