This Eid Learn How to make Turkish special Gilafi kebabs and make it special.

After fasting in Ramadan, the most awaited is Eid. On this special occasion, eid is not only given to each other, but there is a big celebration of food and drink. On this day, different types of dishes are made. If you are thinking of making something special on this day, then make Turkish special Gilafi kebab.

Kebabs came to India from Turkey and then were liked so much by the Mughals that they also got a special place in our menu. Lucknow kebabs are very famous in India. Gilafi kebabs also have their own distinct status among so many types of kebabs. Gilaf means covering and hence this kebab means the learned kebab that is covered and prepared.

In this Eid, you also make Gilafi kebabs at home. This recipe will be liked by your guests too. If you serve this with onion flakes and mint chutney, then the fun of celebration will also increase.

How to make –

  • In a bowl, add the boneless cubes of chicken, red chili powder, all the spices, cumin seeds, javitri powder, salt, ginger garlic and mix well. Cover it for 20 minutes.
  • Heat oil in a pan and add onions and sauté till they fry well.
  • Put almonds in a blender and blend to make powder.
  • After this, chop the things by adding mint leaves, green chillies, fried onions in the chopper.
  • Now add marinated chicken, cheddar cheese, almond powder and mix them well. Now cut them and refrigerate for 10 minutes.
  • Finely chop onions, capsicum, red capsicum in a tray.
  • Grease the hands with oil and take a mixture of chicken and apply it on the learning. After this, coat this chicken with onion and capsicum placed on the tray.
  • Heat oil in a pan and add these learned kebabs to it and fry well.
  • To make green chutney, add cumin seeds, garlic, green chillies, fresh green coriander, mint leaves, salt, yogurt in a blender and mix well.
  • Serve gilafi kebabs with green chutney and enjoy.

Gilafi Kebab Recipe Card

Ingredients 

  • 1/2 boneless chicken
  • 1/2 tbsp red chilli powder
  • All spices
  • 1/2 tsp roasted cumin seeds
  • 1/4 tsp javitri powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp ginger and garlic paste
  • 10-12 almonds
  • 2 tbsp mint leaves
  • 3 green chillies
  • 1/4 cup onion
  • 1/2 cup cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup capsicum
  • 1/2 Red Bell Paper
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • To make green chutney: 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 green chillies
  • 1/2 cup green coriander and mint
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup yogurt

Method

Step 1
In a bowl, add bonless cubes of chicken and all the spices, including javitri, salt, ginger garlic. Mix well. Cover it and keep it aside.
Step 2
Now add mint leaves, green chillies, fried onions in the chopper and grind them finely.
Step 3
Mix the marinated chicken, cheddar cheese, almond powder and refrigerate the mixture for 10 minutes. Do it.
Step 4
Grease the hands with oil and apply the same size kebab on the learning of the mixture.
Step 5
Finely chop onions, capsicum, red capsicum in a tray.
Step 6
Set the kebab in 1 lesson and coat it with these vegetables. Heat oil in a pan and Then fry these kebabs. Your Gilafee kebabs are ready, enjoy with chutney.
