Teaser of Gandhi Godse depicts the war of ideologies between Mahatma Gandhi and Nathuram Godse

Phata Poster Nikhla Hero, was Santoshi’s most recent film 
Veteran actor Deepak Antani will play Mahatma Gandhi in the movie for the second time in a feature film. He previously played the Father of the Nation in the 2016 movie Gandhiji My Mentor. Nathuram Godse will be portrayed by Chinmay Mandlekar. Who last year dazzled viewers with his portrayal of the terrorist Farooq Malik Bitta in Vivek Agnihotri’s tense political drama The Kashmir Files.
The romantic comedy Phata Poster Nikhla Hero, which was released in 2013 and stars Shahid Kapoor and Ileana D’Cruz in the major roles. It was Rajkumar Santoshi’s last film before returning to directing after a ten-year absence.
Rajkumar Santoshi and Oscar-winning composer A. R. Rahman will once again collaborate on a historical fiction drama that portrays the ideological conflict between Godse and Gandhi. The two previously collaborated on two movies, Pukar in 2000 and The Legend of Bhagat Singh in 2002.

Gandhi Godse Ek Yudh,
A film produced by Manila Santoshi. Presented by Santoshi Productions LLP. It will be shown in theatres on January 26 in celebration of India’s 74th Republic Day by PVR Pictures. The actioner Pathaan, starring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham, which opens in theatres a day earlier on January 25, will compete with the movie at the box office.
According to a press release, “Gandhi Godse- Ek Yudh,” written and directed by Santoshi, recounts the ideological battle between Mahatma Gandhi and Nathuram Godse.
Santoshi Productions LLP and PVR Pictures are supporting the endeavour. Famous composer AR Rahman provided the music, and Resul Pookutty handled the sound design.
