The final episode of the docuseries Surviving R. Kelly, which debuted four years ago, will now be available in 2023. The last chapter of Surviving R. Kelly will deal with the fallout from the state and federal trials that Kelly faced and was ultimately found guilty for. While millions have read the headlines, the last chapter connects the horrifying fine print with unspeakable details never shared with the public, culminating in the verdict heard around the world, according to the official description for the Peabody Award–winning and Emmy–nominated documentary series.

Disgraced R&B artist R. Kelly received a 30-year prison term in July 2022, months after being found guilty on all nine charges in a prominent sex trafficking case. Prosecutors claimed Kelly was a serial sexual predator who victimised young women, as well as juvenile girls and boys, for more than 20 years. The trial centred on the allegations of six persons.
