Actress Rani Mukerji recently travelled to Amritsar, where she visited the renowned Sri Harmandir Sahib or Golden Temple to seek divine blessings. An image that has been circulating online shows Rani standing in front of the shrine with her hands clasped. Rani visited the Golden Temple while her movie, “Mrs. Chatterjee Vs. Norway,” was still playing in theatres.

In the movie, Rani mukerji plays a mother fighting the government to protect her children. The Journey of a Mother by Sagarika Chakaraborty served as the inspiration for the movie. “Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway,” directed by Ashima Chibber, also features Neena Gupta, Jim Sarbh, and Anirban Bhattacharya.
On Friday, the movie opened in theatres. She filed a lawsuit against the Norwegian government to demand the return of her children before they reached 18 after they were taken from her and placed in foster care. Sagarika Chatterjee is a woman who has similar experiences.
