A member of the audience, who was also a Pakistani filmmaker, asked the actor if he would be interested in acting in the production if it was set elsewhere. He revealed that for the past six years, Indian and Pakistani actors have been barred from working in each other’s industries. Now that we have a platform like Saudi Arabia where we can do films together, I would love to sign you for a film.
Would you be willing to collaborate with the Pakistani team as well as your Saudi team?
“Of course, sir,” Ranbir replied. I believe that there are no boundaries for artists, especially in the arts. Congratulations to the Pakistani film industry on the release of [The Legend Of] Maula Jatt. It is one of the most successful albums in recent years. Of course, I’d like to.” Another audience member videotaped their conversation.
In October, the film The Legend of Maula Jatt, starring Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan, was released. Fawad and Mahira have both appeared in Indian films. While Mahira was in Raees with Shah Rukh Khan, Fawad was in Khoobsurat and Kapoor & Sons.
Ranbir was most recently seen in Ayan Mukerji’s hit film Brahmstra: Part One – Shiva. After starring in the award-winning biopic Sanju, he was off the big screen for four years (2018). Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, and Nagarjuna were also in the cast, and Shah Rukh Khan made a special appearance. Animal, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, and an untitled film with Luv Ranjan are among his upcoming projects.
