Mumbai Indians have roped in Sandeep Warrier, as a substitute player for Jasprit Bumrah

Sandeep Warrier, an experienced right-arm fast bowler, has been signed by Mumbai Indians as a replacement for Jasprit Bumrah. Sandeep Warrier has played in more than 200 domestic matches, including 69 T20 contests, and to far, in his career, he has claimed 362 wickets across all formats. In 2021, he made his international debut for India, demonstrating his talent and prowess. Before the Mumbai Indians’ IPL 2023 season opener against Royal Challengers Bangalore, Sandeep will join the team.

Bumrah will require four to five months to recover from back surgery she had in New Zealand

Jasprit Bumrah’s back condition caused him to be ruled out of the IPL 2023, which was a significant loss for Mumbai Indians. Bumrah will require four to five months to recover from back surgery she had in New Zealand. In September 2022, the right-arm pacer made his final appearance for Team India.

Because to the injury, Bumrah has to be removed from India’s T20 World Cup roster. He was again selected for the series of ODIs against Sri Lanka but was once again unable to play.

After making his IPL debut in 2013, Bumrah has never missed an entire season.

After making his India debut in 2016, he rose to the position of pace attack leader and has been doing so ever since. The five-time IPL Champions, MI, would suffer greatly without him, and they would undoubtedly miss his services. Jofra Archer would direct MI’s pace attack in Bumrah’s absence. Archer joined the squad prior to the IPL 2022 season, however it was already known that he would be absent.

Fans will have to wait until the next season to watch Bumrah and Archer bowl together because they have yet to play together. On April 2 in Bengaluru, MI’s IPL 2023 season would begin against Royal Challengers Bangalore. On April 8, they will play their debut home game against Chennai Super Kings. Bumrah’s absence will put a lot of strain on MI’s other bowlers to perform under pressure. How MI handles this setback and performs in the following season will be intriguing to watch.
