Lady Gaga is a part of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3
With her portrayal of Harley Quinn in the Joker: Folie a Deux film, which also stars Joaquin Phoenix, singer Lady Gaga will enter the DC universe.
Possibly joining the Marvel universe is Lady Gaga. When the first teaser trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 briefly showed Lady Lylla (as voiced by Lady Gaga) hugging Rocket Raccoon. There was a lot of discussion about whether she would feature in the movie (as voiced by Bradley Cooper). In the comic books, Lylla is a sentient otter.
The director quickly refuted the claim that Lylla has a name that “starts with Ga and ends with Ga”. In response to a question about the teaser on Instagram writing “It does not.” Fans then made an attempt to clarify it by pointing out that since Lady Gaga might still be given credit for the project under her true name, Stefani Germanotta, it might also be a possible send-off.
The newest rumours around Guardians 3 suggest that Bradley and Gaga may work together again after A Star Is Born (2018). Although nothing has been confirmed as of yet, James also stated that he wants to focus mostly on Rocket’s story in the upcoming movie, making Lady Gaga the ideal contender for the role of Lylla.
Gunn also stated in an interview with Comic Book.com that
The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special is also very different from Volume 3 because Volume 3 is a really emotional movie. And it relates the tale of Rocket, his origins, his future plans, how those relate to everyone else. And how this particular iteration of The Guardians comes to an end. Doing this ridiculous thing about once every four days, travelling to shoot Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 for four days, and then coming back, it almost caused a lot of whiplash. But it also seemed like the days were like snow days during The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, you know? Recess was during those times. It was enjoyable. While Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will open in theatres on May 5, 2023. The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special is currently only accessible via Disney+ Hotstar.
