Based on the committee’s complaint, a case has been registered against unidentified persons. The police have launched an investigation into the matter.
The issue of online offerings through Paytm at Badrinath Dham is constantly in controversy in Uttarakhand. The temple committee has said that they have no information about who has installed these QR codes and when. Local people had objected to the donation by Paytm. The temple committee has taken immediate cognizance of this and removed these boards.
Police are investigating the case.
Giving further details, ADG Law and Order V Murugesan said that there was an unauthorised QR code installed in Badrinath and Kedarnath Dham. After which a complaint has been given by BKTC.
