Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon spoke about the dearth of rom-coms and love stories

The well-known Bollywood on-screen duo of Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon will reunite for the upcoming family comedy Shehzada. Rohit Dhawan is the director of the much awaited film, which is the official translation of the Telugu blockbuster Ala Vaikunthapurramloo, which stars Allu Arjun. The Kartik Aaryan-Kriti Sanon film has raised expectations since the release of its official trailer and enticing tunes.

Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon on rom-coms movies

The lack of rom-coms and love stories, in the opinion of the talented young performers, has left a hole in Bollywood. Despite the fact that he has been receiving numerous proposals for the genre, Kartik Aaryan admitted that strong screenplays are not being produced in it. “I do long for those excellent romantic comedy movies or stories. There is now a gap in the genre. I’m currently working on romance movies, which I think are nicer. For instance, Satyaprem Ki Katha is a romantic movie. The next project I’m working on is Aashiqui 3, which is in the similar vein, said Kartik. “But there is this gap, which I understand, in the production of love stories and romantic movies. I co-wrote Lukka Chuppi with Kriti, and it contained those components. Since then, I can’t even recall what rom-coms were like, he continued.

In contrast, Kriti Sanon claimed that less love stories than rom-com movies are being produced. “There are fewer rom-coms, but more importantly, love stories are devalued. I also feel like the conflict component is not present like before. In the past, love stories had villains, the rich-poor theme, and other elements. However, I believe that love and relationships in today’s generation have lost some of their seriousness. The lack of love stories could be attributed to this. Because there aren’t any actual disputes, “said the actress in detail.
