social media popularity and stardom needs to be ‘divorced’: Janhvi Kapoor

The phrase “social media marketing” has gained a lot of traction in recent years. Aside from offering goods and services, celebrities from the entertainment sector often use it to communicate directly with their fans. Janhvi Kapoor has come to the conclusion that one’s fame on social media is unimportant to their profession as an actor.
The Dhadak actress gave a lengthy interview in which she discussed her glitzy online persona and how her Instagram following isn’t a testament to her popularity. The actress appeared alongside a number of her contemporaries. Including Anil Kapoor, Ayushmann Khurrana, Risabh Shetty, and Vidya Balan, at the roundtable discussion of Film Companion where everything took place.

If all 21 million followers came to watch Mili, it would be a huge hit
The Roohi actress argued, “If anything, maybe it’s a lack of strategy. I’ve been told that everything I’m doing is perplexing for the public. I believe it is too mechanical and too calculated for my type of personality. If I have to craft an image on social media to increase the viability of my films. My social media is for more businesses, more likes, more vanity. So I will continue to produce the kinds of work that I believe in.
In response to a question on her social media activity, Kapoor explained, “If all 21 million of them came and saw Mili. Then it would have been a great smash, but I don’t think it’s similar to that. Actors today, in my opinion, are both actors and influencers if they have a social media presence. Being an influencer, in my opinion, might make your fame a little more approachable. Which might make you feel like it’s dwindling, but in my opinion, your Instagram following is absolutely not a reflection of your stardom. All of those are very distinct things.
