For the first time in 5 years, the Indian Premier League (IPL) will hold a grand opening ceremony. Along with singer Arijit Singh, Bollywood stars Tamannah Bhatia and Rashmika Mandhana will perform at the IPL 2023 opening ceremony on Friday at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad (March 31).
Both celebrities discussed what it was like to perform at the IPL opening ceremony.
“Since the beginning of my career, I have enjoyed performing on stage. Additionally, it is extremely exciting to perform for the IPL, which has experienced a lot since the COVID-19. Tamannah Bhatia said on Thursday, “I will be performing with Arijit Singh and Rashmika Mandhana, and I am really looking forward to it.
Rashmika Mandhana, the star of “Mission Majnu,” was eager to perform at the opening ceremony despite never having attended an IPL game. “I’ve always wanted to watch an IPL game but never had the chance. I am like, ‘I made it,’ because I am going to perform today before an IPL game,” Mandhana said.
Both Tamannah Bhatia and Rashmika Mandhana named MS Dhoni, the captain of the Chennai Super Kings, and Virat Kohli, the batter for the Royal Challengers Bangalore.
“Movies and cricket are really close to us; they’re kind of how we were raised. Everyone loves Dhoni, and Virat and I are no different,” Tamannah said.
Rashmika Mandhana contrasted this statement with one that reads, “Usually, when I watch a cricket match, my emotions are too up and down, and I only like to check the scores. Of course, my favourites are Dhoni and Virat.
Following the one-hour IPL 2023 opening ceremony, Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings will square off in the first game.
