India’s First Village: This became the first village in the country.

India’s First Village: The Border Roads Organisation has put up a signboard of the first village at the entrance of the border village Mana in place of the last village of the country. At an event in Mana on October 21, 2022, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had endorsed Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami for calling Mana the first village in the country instead of the last village in India.

He had said that earlier the areas which were ignore as the end of the country’s borders, we started by considering it as the beginning of the country’s prosperity. People should come to Mana, digital technology is being use here. Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had described the third decade of the 21st century as the decade of Uttarakhand.

What else did CM Dhami say?

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, the border areas of the country are actually becoming more vibrant today. For this, the Vibrant Village program has been started. He said the Vibrant Village Programme aims to develop border villages, improve the quality of life of villagers, leverage tourism potential by promoting local culture, traditional knowledge and heritage, and develop environmentally sustainable eco-agribusinesses on the concept of one village one product through community-based organisations, cooperatives and NGOs.

He said that vibrant village action plans have been prepare by the district administration in collaboration with gram panchayats. This will give wings to the products of these areas including herbs, apples, crops including rajma as well as the possibilities of development here. Woollen textiles are being manufacture in these areas under the One Village One Product scheme. The Chief Minister said that this scheme will be helpful in preventing migration from the border areas and our border areas will also be able to participate in the security of the country.

Chief Minister Dhami said that the prime minister’s statement that the third decade of the 21st century will be of Uttarakhand fills us with a new enthusiasm and energy. On the one hand, while it makes us feel proud, on the other hand, it also makes us realize our duties. In line with the vision of the Prime Minister, we are commit to work with full dedication for the development and welfare of the state. We have adopted the mantra of ‘Resolve Without Choice’ to make the state a leading state in every field by the year 2025.
