This is a very sensitive area in this regard. Aside from the locals, others require inner line permits. If you want to visit the protected areas, you must first obtain an ILP from the Resident Commissioner of Arunachal Pradesh Government in New Delhi, Kolkata, Guwahati, and Shillong.
It is home to 16 tribal (Nagaland tribal) communities. Their speech and food are all distinctive. To visit here, you must have an inner line permit. Permits can be obtained from the deputy commissioner’s offices in Kohima, Dimapur, New Delhi, Mokokchung, Shillong, and Kolkata.
Aside from that, you can get ILP online.
This area is connected to Bangladesh’s border. There is tribal culture present here. Permission for this location can be obtained from the Mizoram government offices in Kolkata, Guwahati, Shillong, and New Delhi in such a case.
If you are flying to Mizoram, you can obtain a special pass from the security authorities at Aizawl’s Lengpui Airport.
Inner line permits are required for sensitive areas of Sikkim such as Nathu La Pass, Tsomgo-Baba Temple Trip, Dzongri Trek, Singalila Trek, Yumesamdong, Gurudongmar Lake Trip, Yumthang and Zero Point Trip, and Thangu-Chopta Valley.
The Department of Tourism and Civil Aviation issues the permit.
