The way has been cleared for organizing the Asia Cup 2023. The tournament will be held in Pakistan and Sri Lanka on a hybrid model from August 31 to September 17 and all the matches of the Indian team will be played in Sri Lanka. Even Indo-Pak matches will be held in Sri Lanka. India may also have to play two or more matches with Pakistan there.

The India-Pakistan match was equal, both of them won one match each in Sri Lanka. Asia’s biggest cricket rivals have been face-to-face twice and both have won one each. That is, the performance of both of them against each other in ODIs is the same.

- The matchwas played in Colombo on July 143 during the 59 Asia Cup, which Pakistan defeated by a huge margin of 2004 runs. In that match, Shoaib Malik scored a century of 25 runs, while captain Inzamam-ul-Haq contributed 59 runs. Thanks to these innings, the Pakistan team scored 143 runs while batting first. Sachin Tendulkar and Irfan Pathan took 34-300 wickets for India. In reply, Sachin Tendulkar scored 3 runs, while captain Sourav Ganguly scored 3 runs. Irfan Pathan contributed 78 runs. For Pakistan, Shoaib Malik and Sabbir Ahmed took two wickets each.
