Hombale Films To Invest 3000 Crore Investment In Next 5 Years.

The Kannada production house Hombale Films has announced a 3000 crore investment in the South Indian film industry over the next five years. Hombale Films made the announcement on the occasion of the new year 2023 on social media.

“As we embark into the new year, we promise to produce compelling content with an immersive experience

that can have a lasting memory and can leave an indelible impression upon you. With this interest in mind, we pledge to invest Rs 3,000 crore in the coming five years for a sustainable growth in the entertainment sector,” Hombale Films wrote.

Prabhas Starrer ‘Salaar’

Prabhas is set to star in the upcoming multilingual film Salaar directed by Prasant Neel and produced by Hombale Films. After KGF: Chapter 1 and its sequel KGF: Chapter 2, which began into production in January 2021, this will be the producer-director duo’s third cooperation on a pan-Indian picture. Prabhas has announced his partnership with Malayalam filmmaker and actor Prithviraj Sukumaran on Salaar.

Tyson

Raghu Thatha

Hombale Films will make its Tamil film debut with the social drama Raghu Thatha, starring National award-winning actress Keerthy Suresh. Suman Kumar is the film’s director, and a first-look poster has just been released.

Kantara 2

Kantara will be getting a sequel, according to producer Vijay Kiragandur. The producer stated that Rishab Shetty and the Hombale  team will collaborate again, most likely on Kantara 2. The creators have yet to make a formal announcement.

K.G.F. and Kantara

Hombale Films gained popularity across India following the release of Prashanth Neel’s 2018 Kannada period action film K.G.F Chapter 1 starring Yash. The film went on to become the highest-grossing Kannada  and a cult hit. The film spawned a sequel, K.G.F. Chapter 2, which went on to become one of the highest-grossing  of 2022.

Rishab Shetty’s action thriller film crossed the 250 crore mark within a month of its release, becoming one of the highest-grossing Kannada films. The film has also surpassed RRR and K. G. F. Chapter 2 as the highest rated IMDb film.
