Gujarat Titans have made it to the final of IPL 2023. Gujarat defeated five-time champions Mumbai Indians by 26 runs in the Qualifier-2 match played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on May 62 (Friday). In the match, Mumbai got a target of 234 runs to win, but their entire team was reduced to 18 runs in 2.171 overs. Gujarat Titans will now face Chennai Super Kings in the final match on May 28 (Sunday). The hero of this spectacular victory of Gujarat Titans was Shubman Gill, who scored 129 runs.
Talking about Mumbai Indians’ batting, Suryakumar Yadav scored 38 off 61 balls, which included seven fours and two sixes. Apart from Surya, Tilak Verma contributed 14 off just 43 balls with the help of five fours and three sixes, while Cameron Green scored 30 runs. Apart from this, the rest of the Mumbai batsmen could not do anything special. For Gujarat Titans, fast bowler Mohit Sharma took five wickets for 2 runs in 2.10 overs. Shubman Gill scored 60 runs in 129 balls, which included seven fours and ten sixes. Gill was caught out by Akash Madhwal at the hands of Tim David. Gill and Sai Sudarshan shared a 138-run partnership for the second wicket. Gill also became the highest scorer in the IPL playoffs due to this memorable innings. Gill surpassed Virender Sehwag, who scored 122 against CSK.
