CBFC chairperson Prasoon Joshi recently shared a statement about costumes in Pathaan.

The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), according to actor Mukesh Khanna, must take strong action against Pathaan’s “Besharam Rang” song video since it allegedly “attacked” religious emotions by using a saffron bathing suit in the track.
BJP officials and right-wing organisations said the track insulted the saffron colour. Which is holy for the Hindu community, in the Vishal-Shekhar song “Besharam Rang” from the Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone film Pathaan.
Pathaan was the target of boycotts around the nation.
People burned Deepika and Shah Rukh effigies during a protest in Indore. The song has some offensive imagery and costumes. According to Madhya Pradesh minister Narottam Mishra, and if they are not changed, Pathaan might be outlawed in the state.
Mukesh Khanna, who is well-known for his divisive, orthodox beliefs, attacked Hindi cinema producers in a video posted to his YouTube channel. He claimed that they utilise Hinduism as a “soft target,” which the CBFC needs to be aware of.
I’ve heard that the CBFC is thinking about taking the song’s offensive passages out.
The censor board should be more attentive, in my opinion. If any producer wants to criticise Hinduism, you are the censor board. I was asked, “Sir, what is your objection to it given that CBFC has approved it?” Was the censor board the Supreme Court, I asked? They are not eligible to serve on the censor board if they are ignorant of Hinduism. We’ll raise a fuss. Now, this is excessive, he said.

The actor argued that the CBFC should remove Deepika’s saffron-colored bikini from the song in order to make a stronger point to producers. “If the censor board chooses to alter the song’s lyrics, that wouldn’t be sufficient. It is necessary to alter the complete outfit. To ensure that no other producer will ever try to do this in the future. I support the boycott of this song. Losses will result, and finally no producer will continue.
CBFC Chairperson Prasoon Joshi said that the body had “stayed neutral” on the colour of the clothes in the film. CBFC always has a tough responsibility to achieve the correct balance between public sensibilities and artistic expressions, Joshi said in his statement.
