BMW M2 finally launched in India, Know more about M2

The new M2 has been formally unveiled by BMW India in the nation, with prices starting at Rs. 98 lakh (ex-showroom). The CBU approach is used to bring the model into the nation. The sports vehicle now has a manual gearbox option for the first time in India.

Engine characteristics for the new M2

The 3.0 litre, six-cylinder, turbo-petrol engine that powers the 2023 M2 produces 460 horsepower and 550 Nm of torque. With an optional six-speed manual gearbox and an eight-speed automatic gearbox. This engine can reach 100 kph in 4.1 seconds (4.3 seconds with the MT).

The M2’s active M differential, launch control function, adaptive M suspension, M Servotronic (Comfort, Sport, and Sport Plus settings), and a M Drive mode for customised drive settings are a few further noteworthy features.

A frameless kidney grille, adaptive LED headlamps with an optional M shadow line tint. Flared wheel arches and side skirts. 19- and 20-inch alloy wheels at the front and rear. Blue M Sport brake callipers. A dual exhaust system with chrome tips. And a rear spoiler are all exterior features of the new M2.

There are five paint jobs available to customers: Alpine White (solid), Black Sapphire (solid), M Zandvoort Blue (solid), M Brooklyn Grey (metallic), and M Toronto Red (metallic).

Inside, the BMW M2 has a curved display with a 14.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 12.3-inch fully digital instrument console. As well as M Sport seats, M seat belts, an easy entry feature for passengers in the second row, dual-zone climate control. A 464W Harman Kardon 12-speaker music system. BMW live cockpit professional and connected package professional, parking assistant, HUD, a reverse parking camera, smartphone integration, and comfort access. Inclusionary features on the India-spec The Comfort access system, memory-function powered seats, M seat belts, adaptive LED headlamps with high beam assist, a Harman Kardon audio system, the BMW connected package, wireless charging. The M Shadowline trim with extended contents, and staggered, silver-finished M light 19-inch alloy wheels up front and 20-inch alloy wheels at the back are all standard on the BMW M2.

The M2 will come in five different exterior paint colour options. Including Zandvoort Blue, Toronto Red, Brooklyn Grey, and Black Sapphire. Customers will have the option of either Black or Cognac interior colours, with BMW M Sport seats and aluminium accents on the dashboard coming standard.

A vast selection of additional options are available for purchasers to customise the M2 to their preferences. With an additional Rs 1 lakh, you can add a manual gearbox, a carbon fibre roof, bucket seats, jet-black alloy wheels. A M driver’s package, and more.
