Her early life
Twinkle Khanna, the first of the two daughters of seasoned Hindi film stars Dimple Kapadia and Rajesh Khanna, who she shares a birthdate with, was born on December 29 in Mumbai. Chunnibhai Kapadia, her maternal grandfather, was a businessman from Gujarat, and Rajesh Khanna, her father, was a railway contractor from a Punjabi Khatri family who resided in Amritsar, Punjab. She is Simple Kapadia’s (an actress and costume designer whom she “adored”) niece on her mother’s side. Both her cousin Karan Kapadia and sister Rinke Khanna have appeared in films.
