In response to actor Manoj Bajpayee’s defamation lawsuit against film producer-actor Kamal Rashid Khan, also known as KRK. The Indore district court issued an arrest order for him. After Khan allegedly referred to Bajpayee as a “Charasi Ganjedi” in a few tweets in 2021. the former launched a lawsuit against the latter (drug addict). According to Bajpayee’s attorney, advocate Paresh Joshi, the Judicial Magistrate First Class in this city on Thursday issued an arrest warrant for Khan and set the next hearing date for the case to May 10.

He claimed that Khan had previously been the subject of bailable warrants for failing to appear in court. Khan was aware of the allegations against him, according to Bajpayee, who claimed in an appeal that he did not purposely show up to
Khan’s attorney argued that the case against him should have been dropped since he had filed a petition with the Supreme Court. The Madhya Pradesh High Court refused Khan’s appeal asking for the dismissal of the defamation action brought against him on December 13, 2022.
Khan’s lawyers had claimed in the High Court that one of the Twitter handles `KRK box office’, from which a tweet in question was posted in 2021, had been “sold” to one Saleem Ahmed in October 2020. He had never intentionally tweeted anything against Bajpayee, his lawyers had said.
On December 13, 2022, the Madhya Pradesh High Court dismissed Khan’s plea seeking quashing of the defamation case against him. In addition, KRK asked JMFC on their behalf to halt the district court proceedings against them because they had filed a petition with the Supreme Court in hopes of being granted relief from the stay order.
