Akshay Kumar and Suniel Shetty have begun filming the third episode of their hit series Hera Pheri. Akshay had previously stated he would not be appearing in the movie. There have been speculations that the original trio is currently filming, but a picture from the set has suddenly surfaced online, confirming that they have already begun. The stars and producer Firoz Nadiadwala were photographed together.
The first two films had Akshay, Suniel, and Paresh in the lead roles. Paresh Rawal stated that Kartik Aaryan would replace Akshay in the comedy after Akshay withdrew from the third movie.
Akshay Kumar stated publicly why he was unable to participate in Hera Pheri 3 and expressed his dissatisfaction with the script.
“I was notified about the movie and volunteered to see it. But I wasn’t happy or satisfied with the script, the screenplay, or anything else about it. I backed out and took a step back because I had to do what the crowd wanted to see. It plays a significant role in my identity, journey, and existence. Bahut dukh mujhe bhi ho raha hai. I am also very disturbed. Main khud bhi bahut dukhi hun iss baat se ki main kar nahi paa raha hun. I’m not thrilled with how things have turned out, so I’m quite disappointed that I won’t be doing it. I pulled out because of that,” he stated.
Priyadarshan directed the first Hera Pheri movie, and the late Neeraj Vora was in charge of the second. Who is helming the third movie is yet unknown. A terrible 2022 for Akshay saw him release five films, none of which had positive reviews. All of the films that were released—Bachchhan Paandey, Ram Setu, Samrat Prithviraj, Cuttputlli, and Raksha Bandhan—on various platforms failed to find an audience. He will appear in the 2023 films Selfiee, OMG 2, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, and the Hindi version of Soorarai Pottru.
