One of the most popular Tamil actors, Vijay Sethupathi. He will make his Hindi debut in the upcoming web series Farzi alongside Shahid Kapoor. On February 10, the series will be available to watch on Amazon Prime Video. Alongside Katrina Kaif, Sethupathi is now filming one of the most anticipated Bollywood movies of the year, Merry Christmas.

The 2018 Tamil love drama film ’96, starring Sethupathi and Trisha Krishnan, is about a reunion of a 1996 batch and is set 22 years later. The reunion allows Ram and Jaanu, two ex-lovers, to resolve their issues regarding their breakup. The writing, directing, cinematography, soundtrack, performances of the lead actors, and the sense of nostalgia it stirred in the audience all won praise from critics.
Super Deluxe
Sethupathi gave one of his best performances to date in the 2019 Tamil film Super Deluxe. He portrays Shilpa, a transgender character who struggles with themes of morality, sex, gender discrimination, marriage, and life in general. Sethupathi received a National Award for his performance. The movie afterwards had its world debut at a number of film festivals.
Vikram Vedha
The 2017 Tamil neo-noir action thriller movie Vikram Vedha, in which Sethupathi and R. Madhavan star, has just been translated into Hindi and recreated with Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan in the key roles. The Tamil version tells the tale of a cop named Vikram who sets out to find and murder the gangster Vedha.
